WHAT DO THE DATES ON BOTTLES AND CANS MEAN? All our imported beverages from around the world have a best-before date, or in some cases a production date, which is very different from the best-before date usually shown in Europe on perishable products such as dairy products, meat or cookies. The date on beverages is an indicator used by manufacturers to guarantee absolute flavor and aroma. In the case of beverages imported from China, which usually include the production date, it is necessary to add 15 months to obtain the final date. Pepsico products from the U.S. and Canada can still be consumed 6 to 10 months after the date on the bottle, and 8 to 12 months after the date on the can. Similarly, many American beverage brands (Sprite, Canada Dry, Faygo, etc.) can be consumed 6 to 8 months after the date on the bottle. This information can be easily checked on the websites of the major soft drink brands listed.
